hello, friend

Our Story

Kind Street Library started the way most good things do — at a kitchen table, with kids, crayons, and a mom who couldn't find quite what she was looking for.

We're Wendy and Michael — a wife-and-husband team raising and teaching our kids at home. Wendy is the homeschool mom and maker behind our unit studies: she built them for our own family first, week by week, around the topics our kids couldn't stop talking about. Other families started asking for copies. Then their kids started asking for more.

That's when we realized what we were really making. Not worksheets — warmth. Learning that feels like being read to. Pages a child wants to finish and a parent doesn't have to decode. Stories and studies where kindness, courage, honesty, and grace get practiced, not preached.

So we're building the library we always wanted to walk into: homeschool unit studies you can print and start today, and a storybook series about eight kids on one neighborhood street, each learning character the slow, real way.

What we believe

Story comes first

Children learn character from the inside of a story, not the end of a lecture.

Gentle beats perfect

We encourage kids (and parents!) without shaming mistakes. Growth is slow and that's okay.

Families know their kids

Our materials hand parents something useful, then trust them to make it their own.

Wonder is the engine

Curiosity does the heavy lifting. Our job is to keep it lit.

Come say hello

We read every note from parents, grandparents, teachers, and co-op leaders. Tell us what your family is learning about — it genuinely shapes what we make next.
